Bile acids reduce the cost of pig feed formula

Author: Date:9/14/2021 11:01:33 PM
In recent years, the role of bile acids in saving animal energy, promoting growth, improving meat quality and effectively decomposing mycotoxins has been gradually recognised by people. This paper mainly reviews the functions of bile acids on the growth performance of piglets. This paper mainly reviews the functions of bile acids on improving the digestibility of feed nutrients ,reducinng feed formulation costs ,and increasing revenue.

The physiological function of bile acids is related to the digestibility of feed nutrients

Bile acid itself is a kind of emulsifier, which plays the role of emulsifying fat, activating lipase, and transporting fatty acid during the entire digestion and absorption process of fat, which is related to the digestion and utilization of crude fat in feed. As an important signal regulator molecule, bile acid can regulate the synthesis, metabolism, transportation and energy metabolism of glucose, fatty acids and lipoproteins, which can affect the digestion and utilization of crude fat, crude protein, and energy in feed.

Effect of Bile Acids on the Apparent Digestibility of Nutrient Substances in Piglets

As shown in Table 1, compared with the control group, the apparent digestibility of crude protein of piglets in the bile acid treatment group has a tendency to increase. The apparent digestibility of crude fat and the apparent digestibility of total energy of the 80-100 mg/kg bile acid treatment group increased significantly, and the apparent digestibility of dry matter increased significantly.

Analysis of the value of bile acid in reducing the cost of pig feed formula

The 2017 evaluation test report of China Agricultural University showed that the original bile acid powder (95%) 100 mg/kg was added to the feed (the amount of 30% bile acid added was 320 g/t), and the dry matter, crude protein, The apparent digestibility of crude fat and total energy increased by 3.26%, 0.67%, 26.14%, 3.54%, respectively.

Taking the addition of 20 kg-30 kg/t of soybean oil to suckling pig feed as an example, it can reduce the consumption of soybean oil by 5-7.5 kg/t (converted to a digestible energy value of about 42.5-63.8 kcal/kg); formula crude protein 18 % As an example, it can reduce the crude protein content by 0.12% (converted to 43% soybean meal is about 3 kg/t); in addition, considering that bile acid can effectively decompose mycotoxins and protect liver health, bile acid can reduce the feed formula The amount of mold release agent. If combined with low-cost raw material substitution technology, low-protein diet formula technology will reduce more feed costs.

Bile acid reduces the cost of pig feed formulation case sharing:

Table 2, Table 3, and Table 4 show that after the customer adds 300 g/t milk energy (30%), the feed formula reduces 5 kg/t imported fish meal and 5 kg/t soybean oil, and deletes the use of mold release agents. , The remaining formula space is supplemented with glucose and corn, formula digestion can reduce 23.72 kcal/kg, crude protein reduced by 0.33%, and formula cost reduced by 54.1 yuan/t.

However, the feeding test results showed that the production performance did not decrease: daily weight gain and daily feed intake increased by 5.68% and 2.49%, feed-to-meat ratio decreased by 0.04, and diarrhea rate decreased from 5.63% to 4.98%. After adding bile acid, the feed The cost is reduced and the production performance is further improved.
